Multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Thomas James was destined for a life in the music industry. From an early age, he was exposed to a musical family and well-accomplished musicians and decided to take the leap into his own career in music. Having broad exposure to various musical genres, his unmistakable influences are classic Soul, Pop and Funk.

Thomas has successfully completed his study at ‘Hunter School of Performing Arts’ in Broadmeadow and the ‘Talent Development Project’ (TDP) in Sydney. He has also attended songwriting workshops held by Gina Jeffreys and Rod McCormack to increase his song-writing ability. For seven years (2013-2019), Thomas has performed as a featured artist in the arena spectacular ‘Star Struck’, performed in many musicals around Newcastle, and has performed alongside multi-award-winning artists such as Gina Jeffreys, Beccy Cole, Bella and Lyn Bowtell. His passion, enthusiasm and drive for a life in music are set to take him on an exciting and fulfilling journey. 

Thomas is currently performing in venues around the Newcastle area as a solo artist and continues to take on new and exciting roles in theatre. He also teaches students of all ages singing, piano and guitar (check out 'Music Lessons' for more info). Thomas is determined for an exciting future in the music industry and continuously works hard to increase his skills and knowledge and make the most out of his talent.
